Before you start the machine, check the condition of
the log splitter. Keep protective equipment in its place
and in good condition. Make it your habit to check that
all work tools have been removed from the work area
before starting the machine. Change damaged, missing
or and delivered partners before using the machine.
Start the machine without a load and check that it is in
working order.
Keep in mind of possible hazards does situations that
can develop with the splitting of certain types of logs
(e.g. logs that are bumpy or have irregular forms).
Remember to always use a Portable Residual Current
Device (PRCD) if the electric system does not have a
fault current switch of at least 0.03 A.
Never split logs that are larger than the log size
specified in the manual. Never attempt to split logs that
contain parts such as nails or steel wire that are
hazardous to the operation of the machine.
The log's lower surface should be cut evenly and there
should be no branches in the log. The log should be
split in the direction of the wood grain. Never place the
log in a vertical position on the log splitter.
The user must always operate the control device with
both hands. The control device must not be used in
any other way.
Place the machine on a horizontal and stable
supporting surface. Ensure that there is plenty of room
to move around the machine. Ensure that there are no
objects on the supporting surface that could prevent
the free movement of machine. For this purpose, we
recommend the use of a log splitter stand. Never use
the machine on the ground. Attach the log splitter to a
work base if it moves from its place.
Danger! Never split two logs at the same time.
Danger! Never add the next log or change a log while
the machine is in operation.
Danger! Never tamper with the log splitter's protective
equipment and do not use the machine without
protective equipment.
Warning! Never force the log splitter for longer than five
seconds when you attempt to split particularly hard
wood. When this time period has expired, the oil can
overheat. Change the position of a particularly hard log
by 90° to see if it can be split in the other direction. If
you are unable to split the log, this means that the
wood hardness exceeds the machine's capability.
Forbidden! Never open the switch box or the cover of
the electric motor. Contact a qualified electrician if
necessary.
Warning! Take care that the machine and the electrical
cable remain far from water. Handle the electrical cable
with care.
Never jerk or tear the electrical cable. Keep the
electrical cable far from high temperatures, of oil and
sharp objects.
