SMARTSTART SCENARIOS 

SMARTSTART is a highly versatile multifunctional device. For these various scenarios, specific settings must be 
chosen during the set up process to ensure correct operation.  

In each of the scenarios, there may be up to 3 stages in the software where configuration options apply. These 
are –  

1.

 

On the SCAN page, after discovering the device 

2.

 

If a configuration screen appears when you select your team list for the session (RFID only mode); 
and/or 

3.

 

On the OPTIONS tab, after selecting your players and entering the session

SCENARIO 1: WIRELESS START GUN (ONE SMARTSTART FOR UP TO 8 LANES; PDA OR 
HAND PLUNGER START)) 

In this scenario, SMARTSTART can be used at the start line as a high volume wireless start gun for 1-8 lanes of 
timing, started by the SMARTSTART audio signal.
