QUICK START GUIDE

1.

Turn on your SMARTSTART unit by flicking the switch located on the

bottom of the unit. Once turned on, the green  power LED will be

illuminated.

2.

Turn on the gates and other devices that you will use for the session

3.

Start your SMARTSPEED software with Grabba Sleeve connected (as for

a normal session) and Press “Start New Session”

4.

Press Scan

5.

Your SMARTSTART units will appear in the scan list. If the units do not

appear, please refer to the troubleshooting section below.

6.

A drop down list will appear next to the unit ID. Choose the appropriate

SMARTSTART function from the list, according to the scenarios outlined

below.

7.

Follow the software as you would for a normal session, selecting your

drill and performing the “test track” procedure. In some scenarios, your

SMARTSTART unit will be part of the test track procedure, in which

cases you will need to press the hand start switch, start pad, jump mat

or SMARTSHOXX unit at the appropriate stage of the test track.

8.

If the SMARTSTART is not used in the test track procedure, and you are

running multiple tracks (lanes), then after selecting your team list for

the session, you will be presented with the SMARTSTART configuration

screen. Configure your SMARTSTARTs to coincide with the respective

lanes by pressing the “Buzzer” button next to each unit, and ensuring it

is set up to work with the correct track.

9.

Press OK and then proceed to run your session as usual.

HARDWARE INPUT OPTIONS

SMARTSTART is equipped with two PS2 ports for various functions. Currently, only one port is active, and is
