Automatic keyboard lock
At Menu > Setup > Security > Key lock, you may set up an automatic, time-
controlled keyboard lock.
HINT
The automatic keyboard lock locks the keyboard when no call and no
operation have occurred on the handset during the selected period.
Activating the keyboard lock manually is still possible. Deactivating the
keyboard lock does not require the PIN!
Unlock a locked up handset
After having locked up your handset using „Menu > Setup > Security > Hand-
set lock“ only the emergency call release will work, provided that an emer-
gency call number has been set up before.
When pressing any other key you will get the the status indication
„HS locked – Enter PIN“.
At the same time, an entry field for the PIN (personal identification number)
opens.
Now enter your actual PIN and confirm your entry by a keystroke on the
RIGHT
SOFTKEY
[OK]. The handset will be in unlocked status again.
Changing the earpiece volume temporarily during a conversation
The basic earpiece volume setting can be changed at Menu > Setup > Phone
settings > Audio settings > Earpiece volume.
You may change this setting temporarily when needed during a telephone call:
You make a phone call without the handsfree talking function activated.
