b) In the case of the non-locking
function, the spring pulls the
locking bar towards the button.
Depending on the desired func-
tion, the spring is screwed into
the fastening bore to the right or
to the left of the locking bar,
along with the fastening screw.
In order to modify the device by
changing to one of these varieties,
you will have to loosen the faste-
ning screw of the spring, push the
spring to the side that corresponds
with the desired function, and
fasten the spring with the screw
again. Then mount the cover and
close the door according to the
des cription.
Care and maintenance
The fire alarm is maintenance-free.
Still, if the operating area is highly
contaminated by dust, fat, oil etc.,
the device should be cleaned from
time to time. Use a moist cloth to
dust off the device.
Maintaining good working order
In order to maintain the operability
of the fire alarm, the device must
be checked for visual damage from
time to time.
Although the device is being manu-
factured for use in rough industry
environments, it is possible that
damage could ensue due to the
impact of for instance heavy strikes
or blows, and that this could put
restrictions on a function or reduce
tightness. Defective parts may be
replaced by original parts only. The
place and kind of fastening must be
vibration free, in accordance with EN
12094-3.
Manual triggering and
stop device
The design of the device is to a
great extent identical with that of
the fire alarm. The device version
however, does not come in red, but
in yellow or blue. Operation is
customer specific and has to be
agreed on with the company fire
brigade or the responsible fire pre-
vention authorities.
The manual triggering and stop
device according to EN 12094-3
has been designed to control
extinguishing systems.
In all other regards, the operating
manual is valid for the special
alarm, too.
Recycling
The device may be completely
recycled as electronic waste.
When the device is disassembled,
plastics, metals and electronics are
to be disposed of separately.
In every single case the national
requirements and regulations for
waste disposal must be observed.
