Installing a second processor
The system board can be upgraded with a second processor. The upgrade kit
consists of a processor and a heat sink.

CAUTION!
Only processors of the same type may be used on the system board.
That means the number of the internal processor cores as well as the
primary clock and the FSB frequency have to be the same. For dual
operation, use a suitable multiprocessor operating system.
Ê
Open the server and remove the fan carrier as described in the
chapter
"Preparation" on page 27
.

Press the heat sink retaining clips downward and inward to release them.
Ê
Fold the heat sink retaining clips back.
