Main memory

Memory modules

The system board offers 18 slots for memory modules. 9 memory slots can be
used in mono processor configurations.

ECC with memory scrubbing and with the Single Device Data Correction
(SDDC) function is supported.

There are three modes of operation for the main memory:

Independent Channel Mode / Performance Mode (recommended)

–

Mirrored Channel Mode

–

Spare Channel Mode

Depending on the mode of operation there are different population
requirements.

The types of memory modules and the modes of operation are described
in the Technical Manual or in the configurator of the server.
