Removing the air duct

The following replacement routines require removing the air duct:

Replacing the front fan module (system fan 1)

Replacing the front panel cable

Removing the processor heat sink

Replacing the processor

Replacing the system board

This procedure is best performed with the server in a horizontal position.

Shut down the server and disconnect the AC power cord from the system.

Remove the side cover as described in section

4.1.1.1 on page 23

Open the HDD cage as described in section

4.1.2.1 on page 25
