26 Conversion procedure

Attach the rail assemblies (from step 1) and insert the rack nuts provided
into the rack holes.
This server requires 4U of cabinet space.

Attach the rails.
Fasten the front brackets to the rack with the flathead screws (M6) in the
rack’s 4th and 6th hole positions (counting up from the bracket base) as shown
in the diagram. Fasten the rear brackets in the same manner except using the
screws provided (M6) and washers instead of the flathead screws.

Attach the rack nuts provided.
Insert the rack nuts in the 2nd and 11th hole positions (counting from the bot-
tom) as shown in the diagram. When inserting the nuts, make sure to use the
ones provided with the kit (M5) as they have special catches to secure their
hole positions.
Installing to the rack

Pull the slide rails toward the front until they click into place.
Make sure to use the rack nuts (M5) provided with the rack con-
version kit and not the ones from the rack.
