The PRIMERGY CX400 M4 server enclosure features eight hot-plug fan
modules.

Fan positions

The

figure 69

shows the position of the system fans 1 to 8.

Fan cables

Two fans each are connected to the midplane via one Y-cable. There are two
types of fan cables, a short and a long version. The short version is used for fan
modules 3, 4 and 7, 8 and the long version is used for fan modules 1, 2 and 5, 6.
