Safety instructions

Keep this operating manual and the other documentation (such as the
technical manual, CD) close to the device. All documentation must be
included if the equipment is passed on to a third party.
Before starting up

When installing the appliance and before placing it in service, please
take note of the information on the required ambient conditions and
the required technical infrastructure. The information you require here
is contained in
section "Technical data" on page 11
.

CAUTION!
●
When relocating the appliance: If the device is brought in from a cold
environment, condensation may form both inside and on the outside
of the device. Wait until the device has acclimatized to room
temperature and is absolutely dry before starting it up. Material
damage may be caused to the device if this requirement is not
observed.
●
Installation, mounting and removal activities involving the CX1000
system unit may only be performed by technicians, service personnel
or technical specialists. Ignoring the instructions in this manual can
result in personal injury or damage to equipment (risk of tipping over,
etc.).
●
When the unit is transported, it is only allowed to have a lean angle of
max. 15°.
●
Make sure that the floor at the final place of installation has sufficient
load-bearing capacity.
●
Route the cables in such a way that they do not form a potential
hazard (make sure no one can trip over them) and that they cannot
be damaged.
●
For safety reasons, no more than one unit may be withdrawn from the
rack at any one time during installation and maintenance work.
Please keep in mind, that PRIMERGY CX122 S1 server nodes will tip
over or fall out of the rack if slid out too far!
●
The rack must be connected to the power supply by an authorized
specialist (electrician).
