Security menu
Change TPM State
I
This item will only be displayed when
Security Chip
is set to
Enabled
and is enabled actually.
A reboot is required after exit to configure
Security Chip
correctly.
This field enables you to modify the status of the Trusted Platform Module
using the BIOS.
Please note: All the actions offered except for "No Change" need to be
confirmed by means of a "Physical Presence operation" (see below).
No Change
No changes to the status of the TPM using the BIOS.
Enable & Activate
Trusted Platform Module function will be activated.
Deactivate & Disable
Trusted Platform Module function will be deactivated.
Clear
Deletes data saved in the TPM.

CAUTION!
If you delete the secret keys in the TPM, it will no longer be
possible to decipher any data signed or encrypted with these
keys. The security profile of your system is then lost forever.
