Advanced System Configuration
The "Advanced System Configuration" submenu contains the following items:
High Precision Event Timer
Specifies whether the High Precision Event Timer for time-critical appli-
cations (e.g. multimedia applications) is activated (
Enabled
) or deacti-
vated (
Disabled
).
I/OAT
Specifies whether the advanced hardware capabilities of Intel
®
I/O
Acceleration Technology (I/OAT) is activated (
Enabled
) or deactivated
(
Disabled
). This technology requires additional operating system and
driver support.
PCIe SR-IOV
Specifies whether PCIe devices are natively shared simultaneously
(
Enabled
) or not (
Disabled
). This item should be set to (
Enabled
) if the
operating system supports SR-IOV.

Advanced Memory Options
You can make advanced memory configurations using the menu items in this
submenu.
Memory scrubbing
Specifies whether memory scrubbing is activated (
Enabled
) or deacti-
vated (
Disabled
).
Memory Redundancy
Specifies whether memory redundancy is activated or deactivated
(
Disabled
), and if so, what type (
Mirroring, Sparing
).
Memory Power Mode
Specifies which power mode (
Performance
or
Energy
) is used for the
memory modules.
Performance
The clock frequency at which the memory modules offer the best
performance is selected automatically.
Energy
A clock frequency at which energy efficiency is at its highest is
selected.
