Installing the hardware
●
Before lifting the system unit, remove all server blades, storage
blades, connection blades, management blades, all power supply
units, fan units and dummy modules to reduce the weight.
●
Only lift or carry the system unit by the handles on the long sides.
●
Never lift or carry the system unit by the handles on the front or back.
Ê
Make a note of the positions of the individual server blades and storage
blades, the connection blades, power supply units and fan modules in the
system unit for reinstallation.
Ê
Remove all server blades, storage blades, connection blades, management
blades, all power supply units, fan units and dummy modules from the
system unit. For assembly instructions see chapter
"Hot-plug components"
on page 85

Lift the back end of the system unit onto the carrier rails in the rack.
Ê
Fold in the two carrying handles (1).
Ê
Push the system unit into the rack (2).
