Connect the cables to the hard disk drive.

Close the casing (see "Closing the casing").

It may be necessary to modify the entry for the drive in the 

BIOS Setup

Installing a hard disk drive 

►

 

Open the casing (see "Opening the casing"). 

►

 

Take the new hard disk drive out of its packaging. 

►

 

Make the required settings (e.g. master/slave, cable select) on the drives. 

►

 

Disconnect all connected cables (data cable, power supply) from any drives already installed.

Unscrew the two screws (1) on the drive cage. 

►

 

Pull the drive cage upward (2) out of the casing. 

►

 

Slide the hard disk drive into the drive cage.

Tighten the new hard disk drive on the drive cage with four screws (4). 

►

 

Push the drive cage into the bracket (5) of the casing again. 

►

 

Mount the drive cage with the two screws (6). 

►

 

Connect the cables to the hard disk drive.
