Extensions on the system board
Details of how and if you can upgrade the main memory or the processor of your PC are provided in
the Technical Manual for the system board. Below the necessary steps are described to enable you
to work on the system board.

Upgrading main memory
To access the slots of the memory modules, you must remove the drive carrier.

Remove the screw (1), pull the drive carrier approx. 0.5 in (1 cm) in the direction of the arrow
(2) and lift it carefully upward out of the bracket (3).

Make sure that the cable of the hard disk drive is not damaged.
You may also have to remove the data and power cable plugs from the hard disk and the
CD-ROM or DVD drive.

Set down the drive carrier on the casing so that you have free access to the memory module
slots.
