4. Connection and Operating mode

These models can charge the battery in automatic mode (electrical control) or manual which
requires supervision by the user. In the automatic mode, you protect the electronic of your car and
you do not need supervision.
- Use an indoor well ventilated premise.
- Remove the battery caps if available and check that the level of liquid is correct; if not, top up with
distilled water. Clean well the battery terminals.
- Switch off the power supply by selecting position “0”. Then, plug in your equipment.
- Select the correct voltage 12 or 24 V by using appropriate commutator.
- Connect the clamps (”+” red, “-” black) to “+” and “–” battery terminals, making sure you get a good
electric contact.
- Switch the commutator to charging mode and then set the charging current to the minimum using
the potentiometer. After that switch the power on, on position “1”.
- After one minute charging current, adjust the charging current by using the potentiometer. A normal
charging current should be in excess 1/10 of the battery capacity.
- On “electronic mode”, when the charging process is over, a light will show on.
- On “manual mode”, stop the charging process when your battery starts to boil. Be careful about
explosive gas, avoid flames or sparks.
