FOR RAOS SYSTEMS OPERATING FIRMWARE VERSION EARLIER THAN 2.3.20:
If cameras are swapped, the system will attempt to continue to operate in accordance with the
previous configuration. That is to say the current camera will take pictures at the frequency and
resolution of the previously configured camera on that slot and the images will continue to be sent
to the previous camera’s data file.
If replacing a camera with one of the same model and it is desired to maintain the same
configuration, no further action is required after discovery and saving the camera. The
configuration can be edited as desired after discovery.
If replacing a camera with a different model, it should be configured after discovery to ensure
proper resolution, desired frequency, and that the images will appear in the correct data file.
FOR RAOS SYSTEMS OPERATING FIRMWARE VERSION 2.3.20 AND LATER:
If the camera was replaced with one of the same model and it is desired to use the same
configuration as the previous camera you can:
1)
Power cycle the RAOS (turn the power breaker off and then on); or
2)
After discovery, use the FTS360 Config App to configure the camera to the previous settings
and save.
If the camera was replaced with one of the same model and it is desired to change the configuration
from the previous camera’s, after Discovery use the FTS360 Config App to configure the camera and
save the changes.
If the camera was replaced with one of a different model, after Discovery, use the FTS360 Config App
to configure the camera and save the changes.
3.10.3
DEFAULT CONFIGURATION
On initial discovery, the camera will automatically be configured with the default settings (the
highest resolution for that camera on an hourly schedule). The default configuration can be
changed using the Camera Configuration option in the FTS360 ConfigApp (select the right arrow on
the camera’s line).
3.10.4
DISPLAY CAMERA DIRECTION
The direction each camera is facing can be displayed as an overlay on the FTS360 map view. Once
the station is set up on site, connect to the camera. Once the camera is online and the livestream is
displayed, adjust the camera’s position until the desired viewpoint is shown and lock the camera in
place.
Select the “Get Camera Direction” button. Calibrate the compass as directed, and then align the
camera image with the direction the camera is facing. Save the Direction.
