1.8.1 General Troubleshooting (cont.)

Float switch stuck or defective.

Press the ON/OFF switch off. Clean
float switch and make sure that the
float switch is not bent and that the
float moves freely up and down. Then
press the ON/OFF switch on. Replace
if found to be found defective.

Gas valve is not turned on.

Turn the gas valve knob to the
ON
position.

Heating indicator is on,
but burners will not

Manual gas shut off valve closed.

Verify that any in-line manual shut off
valve is open. Verify that gas main
