Setting Up an Ad Hoc Network in Windows XP

In the “Network Connections” window, click the “Wire-
less Network Connection / FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick” icon
with the right mouse button. Select “Properties” from
the context menu.

In the “Wireless Network Connection Properties” win-
dow, switch to the “Wireless Networks” tab.

Click the “Add...” button.

Configure the following settings in the “Wireless network
properties” window:
Enable the option “This is a computer-to-computer (ad
hoc) network; wireless access points are not used”.
For “Network Authentication” select “Shared”.
For “Data encryption” select “WEP”.
Enter a 5-digit or 13-digit network key.
