BEFORE THE FIRST USE
‐
Check if the mains voltage of your appliance (230 Volt) corresponds with the mains voltage in
your home.
‐
Remove all packagings and stickers. Then clean the parts as described in ‘ Maintenance and
cleaning’, before using the appliance for the first time.
‐
Upon the first use, the toaster could give out a light smell. This is perfectly normal and will
disappear after a few uses.
‐
For the first use, we advise you to follow the steps mentioned under ‘USE’, but without actually
using bread.
USE
‐
Insert the slices of bread in the toaster slots. Do not insert more than 2 slices at once. Only use
normal bread sizes.
‐
Plug in the toaster.
‐
Select the desired browning degree by means of the slide control. Position 1 = very light toast
and position 6 = very dark toast. For a golden brown toast, please choose position 3 or 4.
Remark: the colour will be darker if you insert only one slice of bread
Remark: If you toast several slices one after the other, the next toasts will be darker than the first
ones.
‐
Press down the on-off handle. The ‘cancel’ button will light up.
‐
Once the toast has reached its requested browning degree, the on-off handle will automatically
lift up.
Remark: only toast plain bread, without butter, marmalade, …
‐
While toasting, you can observe your bread. If you think it has reached the requested browning
degree, you can use the ‘cancel’ button to end the toasting right away.
‐
If you wish to reheat your toast, insert the toast, press down the on-off handle and press the
‘reheat’ button. The toast will then reheat during about 30 seconds.
‐
If the bread comes out of the freezer, select the requested browning degree, insert the toast, press
down the on-off handle and press the ‘defrost’ button.
IMPORTANT: Place the crumb tray correctly before using the toaster.
