8.Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any cleaning or maintenance operation, unplug the equipment by
removing the plug from the socket.
Do not use sharp metal objects to remove the ice. Do not use hairdryers or other
electric heating appliances for defrosting. The use of these devices can destroy
electrical insulation and damage the refrigerant circuit, causing electric shock and
leakage of refrigerant fluid. The equipment should be completely dry before
connecting to the Power Supply Grid.
The equipments using refrigerants like R290 are marked with the warning label
(inflammable product). Any maintenance preformed in these products should
be done only by hydrocarbons qualified technicians.
To ensure the normal functioning of the freezing device is necessary to take into
account the following aspects:
Do not hinder the free circulation of the air around the device;
Do not use mechanical devices in order to accelerate the defrosting, others
than the ones recommended by the manufacturer;
Do not destroy the refrigerating circuit;
Do not use electric appliances inside the food keeping compartment, other
than those that might have been recommended by the manufacturer.
We suggest, for hygiene reasons, a complete defrost of the appliance at least
once/twice every year, to remove any ice and dirt from inside the equipment.
The ice build-up is a normal phenomenon. The quantity and the rapidity of ice
build-up depends on the ambient conditions and on the frequency of the door
opening.
