FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
What is the freibeik saddle joint?
The freibeik saddle joint is mounted between the bicycle sad-
dle and saddle tube on your bicycle and then allows the saddle
to be moved by up to 15° on all sides while you are riding.
These movements nicely “cushion” bumps in the road surface
or smaller impacts so that you no longer feel every stone and
bump directly on your saddle.
In addition, thanks to the freibeik saddle joint your saddle also
moves in sync with each of your movements (pedalling, slight
turn to look to the side or behind etc.).
Tip:
Specialist stockists offer lots of different saddles. The more
upright the seated position on the bike, the wider the seat
surface should be. With an upright seated position, saddles
with rear tension and compression suspension move particular-
ly energetically with the joint. This is available with gel padding
or foam padding.
