Programming the Freedom Lite

The DB9 connector on the left-hand side of the Freedom Lite is used for setting up the
profile of the BMS. A CANdapter to USB adaptor is required for connecting Freedom Lite to
a Windows personal computer. The computer must have the correct utility software
installed. Programming of the BMS is a function performed by Freedom Won and approved
representatives. Write access to the BMS profile is password protected, however users and
owners may request read only access.

Freedom Won can program the Lite remotely using Teamviewer connected to a local PC
connected as explained above.

Settings Required for Setting up Inverters and Charge
Controllers for 52V systems (Freedom Won will assist with HV
systems)

The maximum and continuous discharge currents for the respective models are provided in
Table 2.1. and 2.2 respectively. For charge current settings the same limit can be used as the
continuous discharge current, however this is usually not possible owing to limitations of
the charger or of the incoming grid supply. An average recommended charge current is one
third of the continuous rating of the battery. This will usually ensure that the combination of
the mains charger and the Solar Charge Controller (SCC) does not exceed the maximum
continuous charge current, although this must be specifically checked.
