16. Arbre à cames et arbre à
culbuteurs, côté gauche
Répétez les étapes 12 à 15 pour le côté gauche du
moteur. Faites attention aux positions des cames
A, B et C : leurs entretoises doivent être orientées
vers l’arrière du moteur.
Important : L’arrière du tunnel (59) doit être
parfaitement perpendiculaire au carter afin que les
engrenages coniques du mécanisme de distribution
puissent s’imbriquer les uns dans les autres.
Au besoin, poncez les bavures des surfaces de
contact du tunnel d’arbre à cames pour créer un
contact précis.
16. Cam and rocker shafts – left side
Repeat steps 12 to 15 for the left hand side of the
engine. Note the position of cams A, B and C, making
sure the ribs on each point towards the rear of the
engine.
Important: The rear part of the tunnel (59) has to
be mounted exactly at right angles to the crankshaft
casing, so that the two bevel gears of the distributor
drive can mesh. If necessary, grind away any surplus
burr from the mating surfaces of the cam shaft tunnel
so that they fit exactly.
