Infl ections show changes in a word’s
gender, tense, and form. When you
see a
(Conj) Soft Key, it means
that the dictionary includes extensive
infl ections (provided by Franklin) of
nouns, verbs, modifi ers and other
words. In this device, infl ections
are available in the Langenscheidt
Spanish-German and German-Spanish
dictionaries.
Note
: Bilingual dictionaries may include
translations of each infl ected form.
1. Press
.
2. Press or to highlight
Handwörterbuch Deutsch-Spanisch
and then press EINGABE.
3. Begin to type a German word, for
example,
spielen
.
As you type letters, the fi rst word in
the book that matches the letters you
type will move to the top of the word
list. You may not have to type the
entire word in order to fi nd the one
you want. In this example, note that
“spielen” appears on the screen after
you type “spiele”.
4. When the word you want is on the
screen, press until the word you
want is highlighted.
Or you can continue typing letters
until the word is complete and
the matching word in the list is
automatically highlighted.
5. Press EINGABE to look it up.
The dictionary entry for “spielen” is
displayed.
6. Press
(Conj).
If needed, use the navigation button
to highlight the part of speech you
want and then press
EINGABE
.
The principal forms of the German
verb “spielen” are displayed.
7. Use the navigation button to read
the text.
