NOTE: In general, any time the user accesses the menu screen of the master DrivE-Tech,
the DrivE-Tech communication with slaves is automatically terminated.
To operate the unit, simply press the green button (START) DrivE-Tech 's only master.
Each DrivE-Tech slaves can be arrested regardlessly in case of need by acting on the
corresponding red button, compatibly with the water demand of the system and the
possibility of being replaced by an additional device. If you wish to exclude a security from
DrivE-Tech combined operation is necessary to disconnect the corresponding sensor, in
order to prevent the DrivE-Tech master commands automatically START the slave of
interest. In case of alarm or failure of a pump this will be replaced (temporarily

or

permanently depending on the type of alarm that occurred) by a 'of the other group. to
allow replacement of the master of communication is necessary that the slave replacement
candidates have set the function ON AUTOMATIC START (advanced parameters). Member
is replaced by priority of address (1 to 7).

you want to exclude a security from inverter (DRIVE-TECH) combined operation is necessary to disconnect the

Before starting up, please read carefully this Manual and the instructions of inverter (DRIVE-TECH). In this way
incorrect  settings  and  manouvres  are  prevented,  which  could  cause  functioning  anomalies.  The  system  must
never  be  started  dry  for  any  reason.  Dry  running  of  the  pumps,  even  for  very  brief  periods,  can  cause
irreversible  damage  to  mechanical  sealing  and  internal  rotating  couplings.  Priming  must  be  performed  before
system start-up. Whenever the equipment is powered by the mains (upon initial installation, following voluntary
shutdown or in the event of a power cut and the subsequent return of power), it will enter a start phase lasting
about  few  seconds.  Because  all  of  the  operating  parameters  -  including  its  alarm/  blocking  conditions  -  are
stored  on  a  non-volatile  memory,  the  inverter  (DRIVE-TECH)  will  resume  the  same  operating  conditions  as
when it was last shut-down (including in the event of accidental power supply failure) start phase. Where the
DRIVE-TECH was ON when the last shut-down occurred, the pump will activate if the pressure detected is less
than the predetermined threshold; you can put the group OUT OF SERVICE prior to the automatic start-up by
hitting “0” STOP. Where the inverter (DRIVE-TECH) was OFF when the last shut-down occurred, the group will
remain  OUT  OF  SERVICE  start  phase.  To  start-up,  hit  “I”  START  and  confirm.  In  applications  with  parallel
inverters,  each  inverter  monitors  and  protects  the  pump  to  which  it  is  connected,  and  the  work  is  distributed
among the various pumps in the group on the basis of actual hours worked by each pump. In case of failure of
a unit of the group, the remaining pumps continue to operate.

Priming

A  pumping  system  must  never  be  started  dry  for  any  reason.  Dry  running  of  the  pumps,  even  for  very  brief
periods,  can  cause  irreversible  damage  to  mechanical  sealing  and  internal  rotating  couplings.  All  pumps  must
be primed before starting the system by unscrewing the filler cap and filling the pump body with water (and the
intake  piping  connected  to  it).  When  the  operation  has  been  completed,  tighten  the  cap  and  start  the  pump,
with the cut-off valve in flow almost completely closed.
If, after a few tens of seconds, the pump is not primed, switch it off, check that the intake is free, that there are
no air pockets upstream from the inlet, that the body is full of water and then repeat the operation.

9. RUN COMMISSIONING

Before removing the inverter (DrivE-Tech) cover or starting interventions on it, the system
must be disconnected from the mains electricity and you must wait 5 mins until the
intermediate circuit condensers, which can reach voltages up to 800V, have the time to
discharge via the built-in discharge resistors.
