Playback Testing 

On the playback computer, it is important that the recording which is linked to your test document is not found in other Search 
Folders. 

To test playback: 

1.

 

Log on as a member of the Power Users Group. 

2.

 

Start TheRecord Player. 

3.

 

If any other Search Folders contain your test recording do the following: 

a.

 

Click 

Open

 and click 

Manage Search Folders

. 

b.

 

Use the 

Priority Up

 button to move the FTP Search Folder to the top of the list. 

4.

 

Download the document containing links. 

5.

 

Click a link. 

6.

 

Observe that TheRecord Player downloads the linked recording.  This may take some time and while the download 
progresses, a message is displayed. 

7.

 

Click 

Play

 and check that the correct recording is available. 

8.

 

Click another link and observe that the 

Current Play Time

 is set accordingly. 

 

When testing is complete, restore the priority of your Search Folders as required.  The FTP Search Folder should normally be 
set to the lowest priority.
