With this operation, the milling cutter rotates and
the machine moves forward slower or faster de
-
pending on what is pressed on the spur land (14
Fig. 1); more pressing and lower the feed rate and
vice versa.
To stop the machine
simply release the lever (11,
Fig. 1). The machine stops with the engine running.
To engage reverse
perform the same operations as
described above, but the lever (9 Fig. 1) in red; to
proceed in reverse do not press on the spur (14 fig.
1), but with the machine that slowly recedes.
CAUTION
AVOID IN ANY WAY TO INSERT THE REVERSE
WITHOUT FIRST COMPLETELY RELEASED THE
FEED CONTROL LEVER AND SINCE THE MACHINE
IS STOPPED.

4.3.1 USING YOUR MACHINE ON SLOPES
- Proceeding on sloping ground, advancing very
slowly.
- Park on slopes only when there is no other possi

bility.
In this case ensure that the stationing of the ma

chine are made properly and safely.
- Be extremely careful in overcoming obstacles on
slope as the shifting of the center of gravity from
side to side can create bumps in the middle, thus
compromising its balance.
4.3.2 PARKING
WARNING
Do not park the machine near yielding grounds,
near slopes, ditches or steep grounds.
Never let the machine unattended when stopped.
4.4 STOPPING OF THE ENGINE
You must anyhow shut the engine off on a flat
ground and not on yielding grounds, near slopes,
ditches or steep grounds.
In order to stop the engine, carry out the following
operations:
- Set the throttle to idle and pull back further to get
off the engine.
4.5 AFTER USE
After using the machine, park it on a flat ground in
-
side and clean it thoroughly.
A clean and well-maintained machine will always
work at its max. capacity.

Routine maintenance
5.1 GENERAL INFORMATION
As it was designed, the mower does not need special
maintenance. Anyhow, in order to have the machine
work at its max. capacity and in order to constantly
have a perfectly efficient machine, some precautions
must be followed.
We here below list some operations of ordinary
maintenance. It is important to keep in mind that
lower operating cost and the utmost durability of
the machine depend on the procedure and constant
compliance with these rules.

DANGER
The several maintenance and adjustment opera-
tions shall be performed with the engine shut off
and with the machine well locked on a firm level
ground.
5.2 ENGINE MAINTENANCE
As for the engine maintenance, make reference to
the specific engine instructions manual. Approxi
-
mately, every 8 working hours: check and top the
engine oil level up, if necessary. Check, moreover,
the engine air filter and clean it if necessary. Replace
