Changing batteries
Battery status
When the
battery power is low
, a
double beep is heard twice in a row
after the code
(fi ngerprint or numeric code) is entered. Then replace the four batteries immediately.
If the batteries are already so low that the door can no longer be opened, you can use the
external battery box to open the door. Proceed as described in section 3.2 “Initial commis-
sioning” (use valid code).
Changing batteries
The four AA batteries are located in the bat-
tery compartment on the inside of the door.
Open the door and remove the cover of the
battery compartment (fi gure 3).
When inserting the new batteries, make sure
the polarity is correct in the battery compart-
ment. After inserting the batteries, replace
the cover. With the door open, check that the
lock functions correctly.

ANCHORING
The document safe is equipped as standard with one anchoring hole each
in the base and in the rear wall. Both anchoring holes are closed with a
plastic plug as standard. Before anchoring, the plugs must be removed from the
holes.
If the supplied anchoring material cannot be used due to the nature of the substrate, the
anchoring material must be adapted to the condition of the substrate.
The cabinet is supplied with two screws of diff erent lengths. Use the longer screw for the
rear wall anchorage.
The cabinet achieves its optimal protective function only once it has been attached to a
solid part of a building. Please use only the provided anchorage holes to make the necessary
fi xed connection.
Important!
Before anchoring, make absolutely sure that the substrate where the anchoring
will take place is suitable for the fi xing material supplied and that there are no cables, lines,
pipes or similar in the drilling area.
4.1 Anchoring method
Place the cabinet at the intended location and align it so it is level. The cabinet door
must remain in position and must not move automatically. Mark the drilling position
in the area to be anchored through the anchoring hole in the cabinet. Remove the
cabinet again and drill the anchoring hole in the substrate with a drill bit suitable for the
anchoring material. Now clean the drill hole (suck out drilling dust) and insert the plug into
the drill hole.
Put the document safe cabinet in its fi nal position and screw it down until the screw head is
tight against the fastening sleeve inside the cabinet.
