Below is a typical installation showing the location of the vent pipe from the range hood.
Make sure distance from stove top to bottom of wooden hood meets your local fire codes
and the range manufacturer’s specifications

Run a dedicated 15 AMP power circuit down from the top of the wooden hood to the
countertop level for connection to the range hood insert (20 AMP circuit required for
model 48S)
