Mounting Instructions

First determine where to mount the Motor Hanger

or Support Rod on your bench. Right handed flex

shaft users typically mount a hanger on their right

and left handed users on their left. Motors should

hang 33

 to 38

above the work area, as measured

from the top of the motor, and 20

 to 28

 off to the

right or left side of your work piece.

1.

 Firmly attach the

Base Plate

 to the bench top us-

ing the three supplied wood screws. Make sure that

the plate is oriented so that you can easily tighten

the set screw which holds the rod in place.

2.

 Insert the

Upright or Support Rod

 into the base

plate. You may need to first loosen the set screw in

the base to allow the rod to bottom out. Re-tighten

the screw when the rod is fully mounted.

3.

With the rod securely in place, mount Component

Arms in your preferred order by sliding each down

from the top of the rod. You may have to remove the

set screw on the top of an Upright Rod, unscrew the

top cap on a Support Rod, and/or loosen the Arm set

screws to slide them down. Tighten the set screw on

each Arm once it is in position (arm heights can be

adjusted after everything is mounted). Component

Arms swing horizontally 180º  to keep accessories

and small tools within reach, or stored out of the

way when not needed.

4.

If you have the Light Bar:

With Component

Arms in place, slide the Light Bar on to the Upright

or Support Rod at the top and tighten the set screws

or screw on the cap. Adjust the light bar mounting

bracket to insure that the bar illuminates the work

area and the shade faces the user. The Light Bar

should be able to pivot upward 90

°

to the

‘Off’

position without making contact with motors or

other objects that would prevent it from moving

from one position to another. When the Light Bar

is horizontal (and plugged in) it lights up.

5.

Once all arms are in final position, you can plug

the light connector cord into the adapter and then

power outlet.

Remember:

When plugged in,

Horizontal is On and Vertical is Off.

6.

If you have the Motor Hanger:

 Install the

Angled Extension Rod

into the top of the Upright

Rod. Make sure that the set screw is backed out a

little before installing the Extension Rod.

a.

Install the Springs onto the angled Extension

Rod and use the “V” portion of the  Spring(s) to

suspend the motor bale(s).

b.

Swing the angled Extension Rod to move the

motors into proper position and tighten the set

screw on the top of the Upright Rod to secure the

Extension Rod. Tie wraps may be used to hold the

motor power cords to the Upright Rod.

Pivot Light Bar up and

the LED light turns off

7.

Make final position adjustments to the mount-

ing brackets on all Arms to achieve desired swing

radius. Make sure all screws are firmly tightened.
