OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 

Do  not  sand  plaster  surfaces,  (WARNING:  In  this  case  your 

guarantee becomes void) this may clog the motor (brushes, ball 

bearings, ..). 

7.1

 

Switching Onoff 

ƒ

 

To switch the tool on,   press the on/off switch. 

ƒ

 

To switch the tool off, release the on/off switch.

Continuous operation / ON/OFF lock button 

to switch on :

Hold the on/off switch pressed 

ƒ

 

Press the lock button 

ƒ

 

release the on/off switch 

to switch off :  

press the on/off switch once to release the lockon button

Speed adjusting dial 

Your POW X0460 is equipped with a variable speed selector . 

You can turn the speed selector switch from 1 to 6 to set the desired belt speed.

Mounting a sanding belt

Pull out the locking lever in the side of the belt sander to loosen the sanding 

belt 

ƒ

 

Take a sanding belt of the required grain size and place it on the rollers. Make 

sure that the arrow on the inside of the sanding belt points in the same 

direction as the arrow on the machine.  

ƒ

 

Make sure that the sanding belt is straight and centered on the rollers.  

ƒ

 

Push the clamping lever back.  

ƒ

 

Switch the machine on to let the sanding belt run. With the machine switched 

on, turn the adjusting screw until the sanding belt keeps running 

straight.  

The sanding  belt must  be fitted  firmly  on the sanding  pad  and 

should not come loose.

Collecting the dust 

dust box : 

Push and slide the dust collection box into the connector for dust collection. Make 

sure  the  grooves  on  the  right  and  left  of  the  connector  are  into  place  and  it  is 
secured before starting the operation..
