DUAL AUTOMATIC 

TEMPERATURE CONTROL*

You and your front passenger can  

press independent controls to adjust  

the air temperature on each side of the  

vehicle. To return to one temperature, 

press the 

DUAL 

button. The passenger  

setting then switches to the temperature 

set by the driver. 

FOLDING THE REAR SEATS

In a 2-door vehicle, stow the seat 

cushion by pulling the strap. Flip the seat 

cushion up to the vertical position. Pull 

the strap on the top of the seat backrest 

to fold the seat backrest forward.

REAR OCCUPANT   

ALERT SYSTEM

The rear occupant alert system monitors 

vehicle conditions and notifies you to 

check for rear seat occupants when you 

switch the ignition off. The system does 

not detect the presence of objects or 

passengers in the rear seat. It monitors 

when rear doors are opened and closed. 

The system can be switched on and off 

through the touchscreen. 

ROOF RACK*

Place loads directly on crossbars affixed 

to the roof rack side rails for the roof 

rack to correctly function. Make sure you 

never place loads directly on the roof 

panel. The roof panel is not designed 

to directly carry a load. Make sure that 

you securely fasten the load. Check the 

tightness of the load before driving and 

at each fuel stop. When the vehicle is in 

motion, the maximum recommended 

load is 110 lb (50 kg). When the vehicle is 

stationary, the maximum recommended 

load is 450 lb (204 kg).

information and the proper equipment 

to use while towing. 

 

WIPER OPERATION

To use the high-speed wipers, rotate the 

rotary control away from you. 

Intermediate wiper speeds are in the 

center of the rotary control and turning it 

down switches the wipers off. 
To use the washer, press and hold the 

button at the bottom end of the lever. 

OPENING AND CLOSING   

THE TAILGATE

To open the tailgate, make sure the 

vehicle is unlocked and pull the handle 

to release the tailgate. 
To close, push the tailgate until it  

latches securely.
You can also use the remote control to 

lock and unlock the tailgate. With the 

passive key within 5 ft (1 m) of the 

tailgate, touch the inside of the tailgate 

handle to unlock or touch the lock 

button on the top of the tailgate handle 

to lock.
