Characteristics:
The Automatic Welding Helmet VISUS is a safety product in which some new
technologies like e.g. LCD, photo-electronic detection, solar energy and
microelectronics etc. are integrated. It cannot only protect effi ciently the eyes
of its user against injuries from electric arcs, but can also make both hands free
and take the accurately. Thus product quality and working effi ciency can be
signifi cantly increased. It allows extensive use for different kinds of welding,
cutting and gouging.
The helmet is equipped with a fi lter set that can be darkened. Prior to welding,
the fi lter is transparent, so users can clearly check the work space. At the impact
of the arc, the fi lter immediately darkens automatically. While the arc extinguishes
the fi lter becomes transparent again. Even in the transparent state the Automatic
Welding Helmet VISUS provides a permanent full protection against UV / IR to
the user. The UV / IR protection level is at any time up to DIN15. Power is
supplied by solar panels, to free the user from replacing the battery, from turning
on or off the power supply and from all other operations. The helmet is equipped
with two sets of photo-sensors for sensing the arc light.
Warning:
■
This helmet and this lens are not suitable for „overhead“ welding or for welding
operations of laser welding or laser tailoring.
■
Welding helmets are designed for the protection of the eyes and the face
against sparks, splashes and dangerous radiation under normal welding
conditions.
■
This helmet offers no protection against explosive objects or caustic liquids.
When these hazards are given a machine protection or eye splash protection
have to be used.
■
Please check the opacity before each use, whether the protection plates are
clean and the sensors on the front side of the lens rüfe are not covered with
dirt.
