GENERAL RC BOAT FAQ
Why won’t my boat motor work?
IMPORTANT: Your boat will not work until it’s in the water. A safety feature prevents operation until the propeller is
submerged. Even so, DO NOT turn on your transmitter until your boat is in the water.
How do I charge my battery?
Connect the USB charging cable to a USB port, then connect the boat battery to the cable; the light should be red
• The light will turn solid green when fully charged
• Average charge time is 90 minutes
What should I do before using my new RC boat?
• Fully charge the boat batteries and transmitter
• Place the boat in the water before turning on the transmitter
• Follow the pairing instructions closely
• Wait for an open and clear boating path
• Maintain a direct line of sight with your boat
• DO NOT let your boat get out of range; if you do, it could drift away (bye bye, boat) - your transmitter
will beep a warning when you’ve reached max range, at which time you should guide your boat closer
Where should I sail my boat?
• Fresh water is better than saltwater; salt can damage a boat over time
• Large ponds or lakes free of marine vegetation, waves or currents are ideal
• Avoid people and animals - crashes may cause injury
Do you have any safety tips?
• Take your finger off the throttle if a crash is imminent to avoid injury or
boat damage
• Unplug and/or remove your boat’s battery before working on it
• Steer clear of obstacles and water traffic
• Do not touch components in the boat cabin to avoid injury
• Allow the boat/battery to cool down between charges
