35. Fittingabalustradeonthefloor(Fig.12):
Determine the position of the balusters on the floor, on average one every 12cm and about 8cm away
from the edge.
Caution
: for circular balustrades, determine the length of the handrails and cut off the
excess; use the circular handrail to determine the distance of the balusters from the edge of the floor
opening; this distance varies depending on the radius of the circular handrail supplied. Drill a hole
using a 10mm Ø bit and fit parts 046015 fastening them with chemical resin (not provided).
Assemble parts 033063 with parts 009002 and 005001. Fasten the first balustrade baluster
(H = 920 mm) to the wall using part 033010 with parts 008004, 011053, 033056 (drill a hole using
an 8mm Ø bit). Fit the remaining balustrade balusters (H = 920 mm) 121028 in parts 033063,
approximately every metre add the reinforcement baluster 126034 and lock them with parts 001004.
Assemble the handrails 140010 or 140331 to the balusters with parts 002031 joining them to parts
046011 for straight balustrades and parts 046059 and 001038 for circular balustrades. Assemble
any joining parts 012014, 033105, 033107 and 001017 and the end parts 033103 (Fig. 12).
Final assembly
36. To further stiffen the staircase at the intermediate points, fasten parts 033010 to the wall and join
them to the balusters using parts 033056. Drill a hole using an 8mm Ø bit and use parts 008004,
011053, 011057 and 005035 (Fig. 10) (Fig. 11).
