De tapkraan is een mengkraan voor koud en warm water en is voorzien van
standaard goedgekeurde klepventielen. Als de ruimte zowel een klepventiel
als een vacuümventiel vraagt, wordt vacuümventiel FMM 2827-5150 op de
toevoer gemonteerd.
MONTAGE
De tapkraan wordt door de muur gemonteerd met de uitloop aan de buiten-
kant en met de ventielbehuizingen in een verwarmde ruimte. De ventielbehui-
zingen moeten bereikbaar zijn en zo geplaatst zijn dat een eventueel lek aan
de aansluitingen opgespoord kan worden.
Gaten aanbrengen en buislengte
Boor gaten in de muur, min Ø 23 mm, c/c 90 mm. Steek de buizen door de
muur en controleer aan de binnenkant of ze ingekort moeten worden. De
buizen moeten minstens 50 mm uitsteken. Als de tapkraan ingekort moet
worden, zie (2) en (3).

Inkorten
Als de tapkraan ingekort moet worden, schroef dan de buitenste kraandelen
er af, zie (6) en verwijder de bedieningsassen. Kort eerst de buitenste buizen
in. Verwijder de kegels en duw de stuurringen naar binnen, zodat ze niet afge-
zaagd worden en kort vervolgens de bedieningsassen evenveel in als de bui-
tenste buizen. Verwijder alle bramen van de buitenste buizen na het inkorten.

Controleafmetingen
Duw de kegels opnieuw in de bedieningsassen. Steek de ventielbehuizingen
op de buitenste buizen, zie (5), zodat de buizen helemaal tot het eind komen.
Stop de bedieningsassen er opnieuw in en controleer de afmetingen na het
inkorten. De bedieningsassen moeten 1,5 + 1 mm uitsteken, te meten van het
aanligvlak van de buitenste kraandelen. Schroef de buitenste kraandelen vast.

Vastzetten
Isoleer de gaten rond de buizen van de tapkraan en schroef de tapkraan vast.
Als de muur uit materiaal bestaat dat een plug vraagt, boor dan gaten Ø 10
mm en 50 mm diep. Schroef de bedieningsassen (sleutels) los, zodat ze vol-
ledig open staan.

Aansluiten
Sluit de koud- en warmwatertoevoer als volgt aan:
Breng het afdekplaatje aan, duw het volledig tegen de muur en druk de snel-
koppeling hiervan aan met een tang. Zet er vervolgens de moer, de klemring
en de ventielbehuizing op. De buis moet helemaal tot aan het eind van de ven-
tielbehuizing komen. Zet vast met de moer. De schroefdraad en de klemring
zijn ingevet met Molykote P 40.
Aanhaalkoppel 40 + 2,5 Nm (4 + 0,25 kpm).
Schroef de sleutels vast tot de gesloten stand en sluit de waterleidingen aan.
Indien nodig wordt het vacuümventiel FMM 2827-5150 gemonteerd tussen de
ventielbehuizing en de waterleiding.
GEBRUIK
Bij risico op vriezen:
Een aangesloten snelkoppeling en slang moeten losge-
koppeld worden voor de winter. Controleer ook voor de winter of de tapkraan
niet staat te lekken bij de uitloop. Anders bestaat er kans op ijsvorming in de
uitloop en dan kan de kraan kapotvriezen.
Kraankegels vervangen
Sluit de hoofdkraan af.
Koud- en warmwaterkant worden als volgt verwisseld:
Schroef de sleutel los (minstens twee omwentelingen) en schroef de buitenste
kraandelen er af, zie (6). Trek de bedieningsas eruit, zorg dat de stuurring in de
uitgeslepen sporen van de schroefdraad komt. Vervang de kraankegel die op
het uiteinde van de bedieningsas zit, standaardkegel FMM 3600 (15). Monteer
de bedieningsas en het buitenste kraandeel opnieuw.
Schroef de sleutel erin, tot de gesloten stand en zet de hoofdkraan open.
Als er te weinig water stroomt
Schuif de stuurring [1] dichter naar de kraankegel toe of verwijder hem.

The garden tap is a mixer for cold and hot water with approved check
valves. When installed in premises that require both a check valve and a
vacuum valve, an FMM 2827-5150 vacuum valve should be fitted on the
inlets.
INSTALLATION
Install the garden tap through a wall with the outlet on the outside and
the valve bodies in a heated space. The valve bodies must be accessible
and positioned so that any leaking connections can easily be detected.
Hole drilling and tube length
Drill a hole in the wall min. Ø23 mm, c/c 90 mm. Push the tubes through
the wall and check on the inside whether they need to be cut to size. The
tubes should protrude at least 50 mm. If the garden tap needs cutting,
see (2) and (3).

Cutting
If the garden tap needs to be cut to size, unscrew the head pieces,
see (6), and remove the spindles. Cut the outer tubes first. Remove the
washers and push in the guides to prevent them from being cut off. Then
cut the spindles to the same length as the outer tubes. Polish away any
sharp edges on the outer tubes after cutting them.

Checking the length
Replace the washers in the spindles. Push the valve bodies onto the
outer tubes, see (5), so that the tubes touch the bottom. Insert the spind-
les and check their length after cutting. The spindles should protrude 1.5
+ 1 mm from the contact surface of the head pieces. Screw the head
pieces into place.

Fixing in place
Insulate the holes around the garden tap tubes and screw the garden tap
into place. If the wall material is of a type that requires wall plugs to be
used, the holes must be drilled with Ø10 mm and depth 50 mm.
Unscrew the spindles (keys) to fully open position.

Connection
Connect the cold water and hot water sides as follows: Thread the cover
plate into place, push it against the wall and close its snap lock with
pliers.
Next, thread the nut, cone and valve body into place. The tube should
touch the end of the valve body. Tighten the nut. The thread and cone
are lubricated with Molykote P 40. Tightening 40 + 2.5 Nm (4 + 0.25
kpm).
Screw in the keys to the closed position and connect the water lines.
If applicable, connect the FMM 2827-5150 vacuum valve between the
valve body and the water line.
USE
Risk of freezing
Any connected quick couplers and hoses should be
removed before the winter. Also check before the winter that the garden
tap outlet is not dripping. Otherwise ice may form in the outlet, which
could cause freezing damage.
Changing the tap washers
Turn off the main water supply.
Change the tap washers on the cold water and hot water sides as
follows:
Unscrew the key (at least two turns) and unscrew the head piece, see (6).
Pull out the spindle, taking care to follow the milled grooves in the guide
thread. Replace the tap washer on the end of the spindle, standard washer
FMM 3600 (15). Replace the spindle and the head piece.
Screw the key to its closed position and open the main water supply.
Weak flow
Move the guide [1] closer to the tap washer, or remove it.
