ALTIMETER DISTANCE
The altimeter (H) indicates the altitude of the drone relative to the take-off position.
Altitude and distance units (meters or feet) can be changed in the settings menu.
Altimeter data is logged during the flight and can be used in the Inspector software for added situational
awareness during post processing.

EADING
ELIOS 3 is not equipped with a magnetic sensor, as the magnetic field inside metallic structures can be
irregular and erratic. Therefore, the heading indication is made based on inertial measurements relative to the
heading at take-off.
Heading information is logged during the flight and can be used in the Inspector software for added situational
awareness during post processing.

AP
The embedded LiDAR sensor constantly scans the drone’s surroundings to build a high-density point cloud
(also called a 3D map), which shows the drone’s trajectory and environment. This 3D Live Map is displayed
instantly in the Cockpit App, empowering pilots with exceptional locational awareness.
This 3D map is beneficial as it always shows the pilot where the drone is located. Also, cumulative mapping data
shows the completeness of the map, so you can instantly assess your inspection coverage.
