Settings
To change the settings on the troubleshooter:

BACKLIGHT
The display backlight turns off if you do not press a key for the
period of time shown. You can set the time to 5 to 60 seconds in
increments of 5 seconds.

(index of refraction)
The index of refraction is the ratio of the speed of light in a
vacuum to the speed of light in a fiber. The troubleshooter uses
the index of refraction to calculate length. If you increase n, the
calculated length decreases. The default is 1.468. This value is
satisfactory for most fibers.
