CAUTION 

Hot surfaces and heat radiation present 
the risk of burns. 

 

Wear protective gear that is suitable 
for the temperatures generated in your 
plant. 

  

If you want to use the equipment in air-conditioning, 
cooling or cryogenic installations, provide the 
equipment with diffusion tight insulation. 

  

 

Attention!

 

Malfunctions may occur if the equipment is 
iced up. 

 

Insulate the whole equipment. 

 

If necessary, also insulate the 
handwheel. 

  

 

Use suitable insulating material. 

  

The type of insulating material depends on the fluid 
temperature. 

  

 

For more information on suitable insulating 
material please contact the manufacturer. 

  

After installation ensure that the equipment is fully 
functioning. 

 

Fully open and close the valve several times. 

 

After putting the equipment into operation make 
sure that neither the equipment nor any 
connections leak. 

  

Should you encounter any leaks please proceed as 
follows: 

  

 

Attention!

 

Damage may occur if the equipment was 
distorted during installation. 

 

To open the equipment turn the 
handwheel two turns anticlockwise. 

 

Slowly fasten the cover bolts in 
diagonally opposite pairs. 

  

The tightening torque for the locking nuts for the 
cover and the size of the bolts depend on the type 
of equipment.

Tighten the nuts and bolts of the cover in 
diagonally opposite pairs to the specified 
torques. 

 

After putting the equipment back into operation 
make sure that neither the equipment nor any 
connections leak. 

 

Please contact the manufacturer if the 
equipment and/or connections are untight.
