Fixing/attaching the shoulder strap
♦
Hook the shoulder strap into the carrying
eye .
♦
Note the fact that one hand on the handle
with the padding and the other hand on the
handle .
♦
Adjust the length of the shoulder strap to your
size so that carrying eye is at hip height when
hooked in place.
♦
In addition, you can adjust the height of the car-
rying eye at the telescopic handle by undoing
the hexagon socket head screw.
♦
To adjust the carrying eye the enclosed assem-
bly tool can be used.
Operation
NOTE
►
Comply with regulations regarding noise pro-
tection and local rules. Using the appliance on
certain days (e.g. on Sundays and public holi-
days), during certain times (midday period,
night time) or in certain locations (e.g. health
resorts, clinics, etc.) may be restricted or pro-
hibited.
Switching on and off
NOTE
►
Before using the hedge trimmer, the protective case
has to be removed from the cutter bar .
Switching on:
♦
Press the safety lock-out , keep it pressed and
then press the ON/OFF switch .
♦
The safety lock-out can be released now.
Switching off:
♦
Release the ON/OFF switch .
Adjusting the telescopic handle
The telescopic handle can be adjusted continu-
ously by means of the quick release .
♦
Loosen the quick release by pulling it upwards.
♦
Adjust the length by pushing or pulling as
required.
♦
Close the quick release by pulling him back
down.
♦
Close the quick release again, thereby fixing
the desired working length of the telescopic
handle.
NOTE
►
If the quick release do not have enough
tension, this can be tightened with the assem-
bly tool !
Working position
NOTE
►
The hedge trimmer can be operated in 4 differ-
ent working positions.
Lateral cutting:
Telescopic handle
retracted
High vertical cutting:
Telescopic handle
extended
