Phase
Rotation
With
the
meter
set
to
Phase
rotation
mode,
it
is
possible
to
determine
the
phase
rotation
for
a
three
‐
wire
system.
Note:
The
system
frequency
must
be
stable.

1.
Set
the
function
switch
to
the
W
position.
2.
Enter
Phase
rotation
mode
by
pressing
the
MODE
button
repeatedly
until
the
indicator
is
displayed.
3.
Connect
the
red
test
lead
to
the
presumed
phase
line
1
and
the
black
test
lead
to
the
presumed
phase
line
3.
4.
One
of
the
following
results
is
displayed:

OL
V
flashes
if
the
voltage
is
>1000
V.
6.
Lo
V
flashes
if
the
voltage
is
<30
V.
7.
Out
F
flashes
if
the
frequency
is
>65
Hz
or
<45
Hz.
8.
If
normal,
L1
is
displayed
for
about
3
seconds.
Then
L2
is
displayed
and
the
meter
beeps
twice.
9.
Move
the
red
test
lead
to
the
presumed
phase
line
2
immediately,
before
"L2"
extinguishes
from
the
display.
