7. SeRvICe, CONT.

7.2.2  CleANINg OF The ImpelleR, mOTOR ANd CASINg 

(INSulATed veRTICAl veRSION).

1. Switch off the fan from the isolator and wait 5 min. before start-

ing the maintenance work.

2. Open the fastening screws ~10 mm so that the casing can 

be opened. Fan can be locked to open position with stay 
fastener(s), picture 11.

3. Lift the fan casing to its open position and check that stay 

fastener(s) are correctly locked and the base frame is  
correctly fastened.

4. Clean the necessary parts of the fan.
5. Loose the stay fastener(s) and let the casing go to its closed 

position and tighten the fastening screws. Start the fan and 
check that impeller rotates freely and fan runs smoothly.

The casing can be cleaned also from upside by removing the roof 
panel, see point 3.1.2.

7.2.3 mOTOR ReplACemeNT (uNINSulATed veRSION)

NOTe!

Motor & impeller shall be always be replaced as a package. This 
package is available for size 400 and bigger. In case of smaller 
fans the complete unit is to be replaced.
Open ductwork below the roof fan shall be covered to protect 
tools and other small parts from dropping into the duct.
1. Switch off the fan from the isolator and wait 5 min. before  

starting the maintenance work.

2. 

Vertical version:

 Remove the casing and roof (fixed together) by 

loosening the M6 bolts and self-tapping screws. Open the M6 
bolts to detach motor bracket.

 

Horizontal version:

 Remove cowl (M6 bolts), fan guards (M6 

bolts) and motor bracket (M6 bolts).

3. Disconnect the cables.
4. Lift motor bracket with the motor and impeller up from the base 

frame.

5. Remove motor bolts (if necessary protect impeller-motor pack-

age from dropping down) and lift the motor bracket away.

6. Remove inlet cone (fastened with pop-rivets and sealing  

compound).

7. Install new inlet cone (remember sealing compound), and mo-

torized impeller.

8. Reconnect the cables.
9. When re-installing motor bracket and casing, check again that 

impeller can rotate without problems.

Start the fan. Check that rotational direction is correct and the 
impeller rotates freely and there are no abnormal noises coming 
from the fan.
