5. INSTAllATION, CONT.

 

5.1.3  INSTAllATION ON TO The bASe FRAme, 

uNINSulATed veRSIONS, SIze 190

1. Fasten the sealing tape on to the base frame.
2. Place the fan on the base frame and fasten it through the  
bottom plate with four screws or in case, when base frame is 
made of concrete,or with anchor bolts if the base frame is made 
of concrete.. There are four Ø12 mm holes for screws in the bot-
tom plate, which can be accessed by removing the roof panel.

5.2 SAFeTy INSTRuCTIONS

The fan is fulfilling the requirements of CE-marking based in the 
Machinery Directive. The fan must be installed by following the 
standard EN 292/294.

The electrical installations should only be carried out 
by authorized personnel.

Switch off the power and wait 5 min. before starting 
the installation or maintenance work. Be sure that 
the fan cannot be started unexpectedly while work 
in progress.

The fan delivery does not include any inlet guard. If 
the installation method requires, inlet opening must 
be protected.

5.3  ImpORTANT TO NOTe duRINg eleCTRICAl 

CONNeCTIONS

- All necessary electrical and other safety instructions must be 
followed.
- Cable from mains shall always include an isolator.
- Motor shall be protected with motor protection if necessary.
- Motor cable and fuses shall be dimensioned according to the 
local requirements.
- Contact between cables and impeller must be prevented.

5.4 WIRINg

The following wiring instructions must be followed. In case of 
electrical accessories all required instructions are included in  
the delivery.

5.4.1  The FAN WITh SAFeTy SWITCh INSTAlled  

AT The COmmISSIONINg phASe

1.  Fasten the safety switch in a proper place by using an  

accepted cable type and note the potential opening direction 
of the fan.

2.  Open the cover of the safety switch.
3.  Connect the motor cable to the safety switch.
4.  Thread the flexible power cable through the safety switch 

gland, allow enough cable to enable the fan section to be 
opened during maintenance.

5.  Make the cable connections and check them.
6.  Check that the safety switch is working properly.
7.   When starting the fan, please check the correct rotational  

direction.
