9.1.1 Routine cleaning of fins
Fins require cleaning to ensure that the heat exchanger continues operating at full
capacity. Use a brush (not wire brush) or an industrial vacuum cleaner for this purpose.
Do not use hard or sharp cleaning tools!
Use compressed air stream against airflow direction or water spray at low pressure to
clean copper or aluminium fins.
9.2
Maintenance frequency (checklist)
Observe maintenance frequency specified in the European guidelines and standards
(e.g. VDI 2089).
The following tables shortly specify required maintenance intervals and associated
procedures. Detailed description of maintenance jobs for individual units components
is specified on page 63 et seq.Additional maintenance jobs to be carried out within the
first three months following commissioning are specified in „Table 9-1“ .All other main-
tenance jobs and their frequency are specified in „Table 9-2“ .
Within the first two years following commissioning consider „Maintenance log book for
your CAIRfricostar – Dehumidifier Units for indoor pools“ on page 73 in the Appendix
of the current operation manual.
