Maintenance
The FläktGroup CAIR
fricostar
units are equipped with high-quality components,
require however maintenance and servicing. To ensure an extended service life and
economical operation, we recommend to perform regular inspections and mainte-
nance procedures.
Atmospheric load
in swimming pools
As the concentration of chemical elements (chlorine, PH increasers, PH decreasers,
salts, cleaning agents, etc.) is significantly higher in swimming pools and enclosed
rooms as compared to air treated by standard air handling units, we recommend to per-
form regular visual inspections as well as cleaning and maintenance jobs depending
on the current conditions. Especially consider unit components that are subjected to
wear and tear and parts that are located within the „wet deck/splashing area“ and come
into direct contact with condensate, these components must be inspected on a regular
basis. The same applies to parts and components mounted on site by others.
Maintenance intervals:
The actual maintenance and cleaning intervals depend on concrete unit utilization
mode and configuration. Within the first three months following commissioning carry
out the required monthly maintenance to obtain verified data on unit operation.
Maintenance log book
For this purpose follow the specified intervals for the corresponding maintenance jobs.
The unit log book specifying required maintenance jobs within the first two years of
operation is provided in the Appendix of the current operation manual. Regular main-
tenance records in the log book lay down the basis for a valid warranty! We recom-
mend to keep account of all maintenance procedures in the log book even following
the elapse of the first two years of operation. Under all circumstances regular mainte-
nance and cleaning procedures are obligatory and are specified on the following
pages.
Recommendation
Maintenance contract
We recommend to conclude a service contract with your installer/authorized appointed
contractor or with FläktGroup.
NOTICE!
The measures on maintenance and cleaning specified in the current manual are
only related to ensure the unit’s proper functioning. The unit operator must particu-
larly observe and follow additional national and international regulations and pro-
visions concerning unit cleaning and utilization.
HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!
The following instructions apply for all maintenance and cleaning steps: open the
doors only after complete deactivation of the unit, ensure that the power cannot be
inadvertently energised beforehand.
WARNING: RISK OF ROTATING COMPONENTS!
Fans do not come to a standstill immediately if the unit is powered down. Prior to
maintenance and cleaning wait at least 5 minutes until the fans have come to a
standstill.
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE!
When entering FläktGroup CAIR
fricostar
units ensure that no loads are applied on
the floor panels. During all installation and maintenance jobs take proper meas-
ures to ensure that all load is evenly spread across the bottom profiles (e.g. using
grid walkways).
Ensure that unit surfaces are not damaged or scratched!
PERSONAL PROTECTION!
For cleaning and certain maintenance jobs use personal protective equipment to
include face shield and chemical resistant gloves.
NOTICE!
Carry out intense cleaning in case of salt-containing treated air. Filters can clog
slightly, check filters regularly, clean or replace, if required.
Use only alcohol-based disinfectants and cleaning agents.
