HOW TO BAKE PERFECT WAFFLES
1. Insert the pin plug into the power outlet
you will notice that the power light will goes
on. Turn on the temperature knob, then the
ready light goes on. Indicating the appliance
is heating up.
2. Allow your Waffle Maker to pre-heat until the
ready indicator goes out. This indicates that
the cooking plates have reached the correct
temperature for cooking. Raise the lid and
pour the mixture onto the bottom hot-plates
but not all the way to the edges.
3. Close the hot-plates and do not hold handles
during baking. Escaping steam can burn.
4. When the red lamp will light up the baking
process begins.
5. It takes about 4 minutes to get a golden
browning.
6. The cover will rise slightly as waffles begin to
bake, do not open the cover for the first few
minutes of baking.
7. When the red light goes off and the green
light goes on for the second time, gently
lift the lid to check the browness. If the lid
shows resistance to lifting, the waffle may
not be quite done. Close the top and watch
for steaming to stop before checking again.
8. Remove the waffle when it has the desired
browness and close the hot-plates.
9. When you are finished baking, unplug cord
from power outlet and leave the hot-plates
open to allow them to cool.
10. Then clean the plates, brush crumbs from
grooves and wipe plates with a dry cloth or
towels to absorb excess oil.
HINTS FOR TASTY WAFFLES
1. Do not overmix waffle batter. If you beat egg
whites separately and add them into the
batter it will produce a lighter, crispy waffle.
2. Let the waffles fully bake before removing
them from the waffle maker.
3. Do not open the unit during the first
minutes of baking or the waffle will seperate.
4. Extra crisp waffles were created by baking
waffles longer by allowing them to sit in
the opened unit a few extra seconds after
baking.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR WAFFLE MAKER
There is no need to take your waffle maker apart
for cleaning. Simply brush grooves to remove
excess butter, margarine and crumbs. Never use
water, cleanser or even cleansers on hot-plates.
Do not use steel wool or scouring pads for the
non-stick surfaces. Remove stubborn stains with
a plastic mesh puff or pad. For best results use
only products that are safe for cleaning non-stick
surfaces. Clean the hot-plates with a damp cloth
after each use to prevent staining and sticking
from a build-up of food or oil.
To clean exterior handles and other parts use
only a damp cloth or spray cleaner.
