Your FireAngel smoke alarm
activates when no smoke is
visible
• Check the location of your smoke alarm (see the section on
‘Positioning’).
• Clean the smoke alarm (see the section on ‘Routine
Maintenance’).
• For LSI-601 smoke alarm only remove build-up of static electricity
by wiping the front cover of the alarm with a slightly damp cloth.
• Check battery is correctly fitted, if the battery has been in service
for more than 12 months replace battery regardless.
• If the frequent unwanted alarms continue contact technical
support for advice.
Your FireAngel smoke alarm
does not sound during testing
• Make sure you push the test button firmly.
• If unit is in low sensitivity mode it may not test. Wait 15 minutes
then try again.
• Replace battery. If the battery has been recently fitted and the
alarm still fails to self test then contact technical support.
Escape Light does not
illuminate at all when unit is
in alarm
There is a slight delay between the alarm sounding and the escape
light illuminating in test mode and in full alarm condition. If the
escape light does not illuminate at all when testing or when the
unit is in full alarm then contact FireAngel Technical Support (see
opposite).
