Addressing External Data Bus Devices
used in the system. Their external data bus addresses must be unique. Note that these four (4) con-
soles occupy two (2) data bus addresses each. The second address is already “reserved” in the sys-
tem for each console. Up to eight (8) distributed amplifiers (ECC-50DA and ECC-125DA) can be
used in the system. Their external data bus addresses must also be unique and sequential. All
addressing must also be set in user programming. Refer to Section 3.1.3 on page 63.
Table 2.1 below shows the dipswitch settings for all possible addresses. Note that some devices
have a 5-position dipswitch while others have a 6-position dipswitch. The sixth switch on these
dipswitches are not used. Dipswitches are shown as they are oriented in the cabinet. Pay close
attention when setting addresses.
